Patrick @patricklee2088 • 1d Replying to @Shouse34 I hope they succeed in making changes in culture. We spend entire lifetimes busting making other people rich, struggling and being loyal to people who don't return the loyalty only to get thrown away by companies and society as soon as it's em. Go kids. convenient.

JamieWolf @freeborn_wolf. 1d Replying to @Shouse34 TBF the emailing outside work hours thing | me off. I refuse to respond (but Im senior enough to afford that luxury now). IMO its one symptom of toxic culture.

Suboptimal @SuboptimalAGI Replying to @Shouse34 Follow Gen Z entering the workforce is the best and worst thing for Gen X. The upside is that we can work 1/4 as hard as we are capable of and still look like we're superhuman. The downside is that we are all going to have the "HR talk" several times a week because the snowflakes will be offended by us.

DES Steve Dallas @hodgepodge80s. 2d Replying to @Shouse34 When I'm 80 people will still hire me to replace their awful Gen Z employees

Mr.MockingBrd @MMockingbrd. 2d Replying to @Shouse34 Number one, Gen z is almost 30. They are not just now entering the workforce. Secondly, Trash equipment and work related discussions outside of paying hours are completely justifiable complaints. You old. mfs put up with being over worked. We don't have to.

    DerpTM @null_user_value. 2d Replying to @Shouse34 I can't tell what's worse, trying to teach Z'ers Windows, or Boomer's MacOS.

MR. LEADSLINGER @Lead Flinger Replying to @Shouse34 It's been like this for a while tbh. Follow I was hearing stories like this from people who hired office workers eight or ten years ago. Heard about one that brought a parent to the interview and another that didn't really want to have to be in the office by 8am because they didn't get up that early.

Doctor Mitchell M.D. @EarforcePx12 Replying to @Shouse34 Follow Dude gen z has been in the work force for almost a decade Imao, I'm 23 and there's gen 7s as old as 27 IIRC. That said her second point is valid. You don't pay me after work hours so I don't respond or read emails after work hours.

sxnth @sxnthwave Replying to @Shouse34 Follow Set up an auto email for your off hours saying you'll reply after 8:00am tomorrow (or whatever time you start) and if they give you over it then ask if they plan to compensate you for your time and for your home internet/phone/computer since you are expected to use it for work.

Flying Monkey @CTFlyMonkey • 1d Replying to @Shouse34 My wife worked for a company that was hiring, and one of the applicants was a newly-minted college grad who brought his mom with him to the interview to negotiate salary for him.

Lupo's Dad TRUMP 2024 @realimbored668 Replying to @Shouse34 Follow I'm gen Z (1998) and I would kill for one of those jobs because they pay like 2-3x what I get in retail management for 95% less work

Farmerboy Jakir @JDWenzel + 15h Millennials gonna have to remember we're the first and last generation to get dedicated computer and life skills classes in schools, the govt literally robbed every generation thereafter of proper computer literacy and general literacy in its effort to privatiize education
  • 18
burrito mussolini @wowtoospooky 11h its utterly fascinating to me that millennials are effectively the only generation that is computer literate
  • 19
Sam @SamtheNightOwl. 1d i think we should be kinder to zoomers about this. it's not their fault they're like this
  • 20
mars@mybabyssosolid 10h the computer thing yeah okay look up some youtube videos but i can't believe people are saying we SHOULD be getting and sending emails off the clock...do you hate yourself?
